 7-12-31\n\nIn October 1993\, the Phoenix Police Museum started as a small 
 exhibit at the Historic City Hall.  With the assistance of Cindy Myers fro
 m the Phoenix Museum of History\, a temporary six-month display was create
 d.  The event was enthusiastically received.   \n\nThe Arizona Humanities 
 Council funded a study of the artifacts to determine if enough material ex
 isted to open a small museum and it was determined that there was.  Barris
 ter Place was selected as the permanent site of the museum.  Volunteers pr
 epared the exhibits including a mock up of a 1910 city street and an old j
 ail cell.  The opening of the first exhibit in the Barrister Place locatio
 n was on Friday\, Oct. 6\, 1995.   \n\nThe Phoenix Police Museum is locate
 d at the southeast corner of Central and Jefferson in the Barrister Place 
 Building.   \n\nHours:  Please note\, the museum is closed for all City of
  Phoenix holidays.   \n\nStart time: Monday\, Wednesday and Friday 9:00am-
 3:00pm
