From Page To Stage - A New Theatre Symposium
March 29-March 30, 2008
Space 55 Theatre Ensemble is presenting a weekend long symposium dedicated to new theatre. Open to the public - theatre makers and theatre partakers alike will be offered a one-of-a-kind opportunity to observe, discuss and learn about the creative process. Forums, lectures, workshops, and the presentation of works in process will illuminate every stage of new work development and perhaps even inspire the next wave of theatrical artists.

This truly is heaven! There comes a point when we all need a laugh to encourage or motivate us. Beautifully aged nude magicians and poetry reading former porn stars bring out the best in everyone. This incredibly bizarre content is made palatable by the relaxed and creative environment in which it exists. Where else can you review phenomenal fine art, sit next to someone your own age or half your age and be served the finest otter pops circa 2008! You never know what you're going to get, thats what makes it exciting. I've been twice, I will continue to bring friends and family and am already looking forward to next year! What a raw and exciting way to enjoy Phoenix talent! I highly recommend this show and any other events at this venue the attention to detail is remarkable. Thanks for the ridiculous entertainment! This quirky production ruined my ever so carefully applied mascara. Thank you Space 55 for bringing affordable theatre to the Valley! I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to bring us next :)

"More seats!"

Just so you know, there are seats saved for "at the door" theatre-goers, so even if showup.com sells out of presale tickets, you can still show up early and most likely grab a seat for yourself!

A weird, wacky, quirky play, which if taken at face value can be quite zany and engaging, especially the faster paced second act. And it is the excellent acting which brings the overall rating up to a solid 4 stars. Indeed, adding to a most enjoyable evening were some absolutely hilarious impromptu ad libs which occurred when some cutout scenery fell face down on more than one occasion. I strongly urge you to support this curious little theatre on Grand Avenue, for just about the price of a good (or not so good) movie. And when you attend LBJFKKK, Space 55 Theatre Ensemble will even throw in a bottle of water and a popsicle. Collapse
