Dawson: Thirty Years features the prolific career of John Dawson, esteemed Mesa resident and renowned portrait painter. In his paintings, Dawson goes beyond the physical appearance of his figures and reveals their complex psychology and the depth of their personalities. His idiosyncratic portraits continue to be commissioned, and he is featured in numerous museum and private collections across the country. A gifted figurative artist, John Dawson specializes in works of fine art, which are personal, perceptive, and psychological in nature. He has exhibited from coast to coast, having had one-man exhibitions in both New York and San Francisco, as well as numerous exhibitions in between.
