    1856 the Musical, the powerful telling of the Mormon handcart migration, returns to the Ikeda Theatre. With an inspiring soundtrack, excellent vocalists, and lively dance, 1856 captures the hope and heartache of early pioneers who were willing to sacrifice everything for their beliefs. Since its premiere in 2005, well over 20,000 people in four states have enjoyed this re-creation of the handcart saga of 1856, which is one of most intriguing and important chapters of American history. Starring Joseph Paur, Jamie Kay Alston and a cast of 150, 1856 is an unforgettable and moving experience. Event Location: 1856 will be showing in the Ikeda Theatre at the Mesa Arts Center.
