This nine-mile bike tour will take cyclists of all skill levels on a tour of some of the best works in Scottsdale Public Art's collection. Ride will pause at over a dozen works, where local artists and art experts will speak to riders. Arizona artists Matthew Moore and Matthew Salenger are collaborating to create a free map of unique sites to hand out to all riders, complimenting the bike tour. Cyndi Coon of Tempe's Laboratory 5 will create Sound Cycle, an interactive artwork involving the transformation of bicycle parts and accessories into sound instruments, which participants can experience before and after the ride. This event is in conjunction with 'Bike to SMoCA Day.' Anyone who rides a bike to SMoCA on April 20 (including ride participants) receives free admission to the museum and complimentary bike valet service.
