Tell the children! Warn them of the danger! A new drug has emerged that will undoubtedly destroy the youth of America and send them spiraling into sin, debauchery and death. Try it just once, and they are doomed! Have no doubts, friends and neighbors, Marijuana has found its way to the shining shores... and may God have mercy on every soul! Based on the 1936 propaganda film, the Arizona premiere of Reefer Madness is a zany musical romp through the politics of yester-year... or is it the politics of today? Laugh silly as conservative nut-jobs act out their morality play about young Jimmy Harper, who has his normal, all-American life destroyed by the deadly, wicked, evil new drug known as 'reefer.' Helpful Information: Reefer Madness is intended for mature audiences only, containing drug use, adult themes and language, partial nudity and a subversive political agenda. I loved this show, as I do everything Nearly Naked does, but I have to say, that I liked Kiss Me, Kate at Tempe Arts Center more. Go see it if you get a chance!

I saw this production on opening night and although there were a couple of technical glitches and some (very few) fumbled lines, the content of the show is very thought provoking and amazingly relevent to today (although it is a 20 year old script) Thomas and David are magnificent in extremely demanding roles and the supporting cast is stellar. Once again I am thrilled with the offering that Nearly Naked Theater provides. You must see this show! Collapse

I SAW THE SHOW LAST FRIDAY AND IT IS BEYOND BELIEF! THE CAST IS SEXY AND AWESOME FOR THE MOST PART. BRAD IS A LITTLE WEAK IN HIS SINGING BUT IS A FUNNY NERDIE GUY. FRANK HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN LIKE THIS AND TIM CURRY SHOULD CHECK OUT HIS COMPETITION! THE BIGGEST SURPRISE WAS AN ACTRESS PLAYING EDDIE AND DR SCOTT. THAT GIRL HAS PIPES WITH AN ABNORMAL VOCAL RANGE. THE CHARACTERS SHE DID WERE RIGHT OUT OF AN OLD CAROL BURNETT SKETCH...BRILLIANT! THE REST OF THE CAST WERE GOOD AND VERY SEXY. THE BAND IS HOT AND THEY NEED TO RECORD AN ALBUM OF THIS VERSION. THERE WERE 2 GIRLS IN THE BOX ONSTAGE WHO WERE OBNOXIOUSLY YELLING OUT LINES WHICH WAS A LITTLE DISTRACTING ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS WAS A LIGHT PARTICIPATION SHOW. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEE THIS BEFORE IT GOES AWAY LIKE THE ALIENS BACK TO THEIR PLANET. Collapse

I was very impressed by the Nearly Naked Theatre troups rendition of The Rocky Horror Show. I went to the opening night. They asked us to not do "too much" audience participation (save for the AP shows). During the show a few people burst out a few halarious, obvious "participation" lines and they added to the play BIG TIME! I loved it. We are planning on returning on Friday night for the late night audience participation night. We are becoming Wonderful 100 members too! Collapse

I've seen many of Damon Dering's shows at Nearly Naked so I went to Metamorphoses with very high expectations. I was totally blown away by the beauty and the magic of this production! The cast is gorgeous and talented and work together very well. The show is visually stunning with lots of surprises. I really can't say enough about it.. I was completely transported to this beautiful world and that's what great theatre is all about. I can't wait to see it again! Collapse

this show really LOOKS great. The director is clearly very good with visuals and I'm still thinking about them. On the other end, the script is pretty god awful in places and there are a few cast members that were obviously cast because of how hot they are and not because of their acting skill. It's still okay though, because really, they ARE hot. Overall, it's really worth seeing for the few moments that really take your breath away and make you glad that you chose to go to the theatre that night instead of seeing a movie. Collapse

I simply do not know how to describe how good this play is. It's maybe the BEST PLAY I have ever seen! Ever! The set is so cool!! The lighting almost made me cry (and I'm a no-cry-dude). Oh my god the acting! I can't believe this play is here in Phoenix. I only go to Nearly Naked and Stray Cat now... they're the only things worth my money. But man, this play is worth like every penny. I didn't think I'd enjoy anything this season more than Dog Sees God, but this I did. It's amazing! Really amazing. Collapse
