Add Review/CommentThe Southwest Shakespeare Company is attempting a record of classical Shakespeare proportions! Southwest Shakespeare Company is presenting a 5 day reading of the complete works of William Shakespeare, 24 hours a day, with back to back plays, sonnets and poems written by the Bard himself. Over 300 local Actors will work in shifts over a span of the event to read through all 37 of Shakespeare's plays, sonnets, and poems non-stop. Celebrities, athletes, and media personalities will also take to the stage to read roles. Celebrities include Dan Marjle (Phoenix Suns) and Chris Noth from Sex and the City ('Mr. Big') and Law and Order. This is a World Record attempt and the company will have judges throughout the entire event to report to Guinness! The performance schedule is as follows: 3:30pm - Timon of Athens 6:00pm - Welcome with Jared Sakren and Chris Rhodes with Shakespeare's Epitaph> 6:10pm - Marathon beginning with: As You Like It Sonnets Much Ado About Nothing Phoenix and the Turtle and A Lover's Complaint Titus Andronicus Cymbeline Passionate Pilgrim The Two Gentlemen of Verona The Comedy of Errors Venus and Adonis and Sonnets The Tempest Twelfth Night Romeo and Juliet Sonnets Hamlet Othello Macbeth The Merry Wives of Windsor Pericles Sonnets Richard II Henry IV, Part One Henry IV, Part Two Henry V Henry VI, Part One Henry VI, Part Two Henry VI, Part Three Richard III Henry VIII Taming of the Shrew Sonnets Love's Labours Lost Sonnets The Rape of Lucrece Two Noble Kinsman Measure for Measure Troilus and Cressida Merchant of Venice The Winter's Tale Julius Caesar Sonnets King Lear King John Coriolanus A Midsummer Nights Dream Sonnets Antony and Cleopatra All's Well That Ends Well Performance Location: The District stage, Tempe Marketplace
