Explore the thin line between love and hate! After their whirl wind courtship, Paul and Corie begin their new life together in an old fifth floor walk-up apartment, which Corie has picked out and Paul sees for the first time on their return from the honeymoon. She is a free-spirited young wife and he is a serious young lawyer. Add her somewhat prudish mother and the charming, yet strange, upstairs neighbor and you get a delightful comedy! The laughs are non-stop as these two complete opposites try to adjust to life as husband and wife. The trials and tribulations of the couple's marital bliss come to a comic explosion when Paul refuses to join Corie for a barefoot walk through a snowy park. The laughs are non-stop in this Neil Simon comedy. Helpful Information: Student rush $15 seating 20 minutes prior to show. Pending ticket availability.

I saw Seussical Jr. at Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre, (A Theatre in the Round) Last Friday, there are 4 casts and I saw Early (Openining) Cast, and it was a blast! Directed by Bill Atkinson, who did a good job directing the show with the challenge of in the round theatre, but I had 1 issue, in the scene Solla Sollew I watched the back of Hortons head and had to crane my neck to see the Who Family. Choreography by Tiffany Atkinson, and Madison McDonald, which overall I didnt like, but some of it was good like Havin' a Hunch. Standout Performers: Jojo, has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard on a young boy and good acting skills, Gertrude who had a beautiful voice and had the appropriate awkwardness, Mayzie, who along with Jojo was my favorite performer. My main issue with the performance was there seemed to be little Music Direction! It had a fun set! See this Show! Collapse

I had my doubts about men portraying the nuns. Yes there is a tiny amount of falsetto work in order to keep the illusion alive, but not to the point of distraction. Each "sister" has their strengths and uses them to the utmost. There are only two points in the show that needed improvement: I wish Sister Amnesia's puppet had workable arms, and the line "Sister Julia...Child of God" should be read "Sister Julia Child...of God" in order to really drive home the classic cooking show reference. Other than that the Reverand Mother's look of dissaproval is priceless and the "Dying Nun" ballet is fantastic! It's the first time I've seen it done like that and now I wouldn't want to see it any other way! Go see the show if you've had a bad day, because this will make you forget all about it. Promise. I saw the opening late cast last sunday at Desert Stages Theatre, I told you that because there are four different casts! The first thing you notice when you walk in the theatre is the FANTASTIC set! The show was written by the founder of the theatre Gerry Cullity who added roles for lots of children, audience interaction, great songs, and witty dialouge. Perfect for this theatre. The costumes were all made by the parents of the children in the show, and they were good. Starring as Cinderella was Desiree Vaughan who had a beautiful voice! The prince was played by A.J. Costa. The two cute but mean stepsisters played by Tillea Baltzell and Kristin Alba who brought great humor to their roles. The four italian mice all were very funny! All in all a magical production. That I highly recomend you go see! Collapse
