The current exhibit of artwork on display in the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre Art Gallery is by Mesa artist Howard Dinet. Twelve new pieces highlight the life of rock 'n' roll legend Buddy Holly, J.P. Richardson (The Big Bopper) and Ritchie Valens. Dinet's mixed media technique has been described as confident, vibrant and expressive and brings to life the spirit of the late 1950's when Holly rose to fame. This is Howard Dinet's third exhibit at Broadway Palm. His work was last enjoyed during the 2007 productions of Beehive and The Full Monty. Exhibit Information: Gallery hours correspond with box office hours and Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story performance times. The gallery is located at the east end of the main lobby. All of the pieces on display are available for purchase through the theatre's gift shop.

The Art Gallery is an often unexplored part of the Broadway Palm lobby. You don't always see a lot of people checking out the exhibits. There have been some excellent shows, but this current collection by Howard Dinet really ties in beautifully with the show. You can really see how much research Dinet did before starting this series of paintings. It is definitely worth checking out and the prices are very reasonable. Collapse
