Add Review/CommentThe Phoenix Zoo's 16th annual holiday lighting extravaganza features more than two million lights and light displays throughout the Zoo as well as a new Arctic exhibit and Jengo the talking giraffe. The magic begins after the animals at the Zoo go to sleep! This year it's all about the patterns you'll see in the night. Light and color allows them to create masterpieces of art. Patterns of light and color in nature are all around us - zebra stripes; rainbows; iridescence on animals and fish; a shadow; ice; and you'll see patterns on you! Not only is ZooLights one of the most popular holiday light events in the valley, its one of the most environmentally friendly. LED lights have been added this year for a brighter show that consumes far less energy. The entire ZooLights event is powered by SRP and EarthWise Energy which helps keep our Valley clean by producing energy from sun, wind, the earth's heat and flowing water in our canals.
