First performed in 1980, Henley pushed the boundaries of comedy and satire with this narrative of familial dysfunction. Through the chronicling of hardships endured by the Magrath sisters, Meg, Babe, and Lenny, playwright Beth Henley develops themes of every classic family tale past resentments, despair, redemption and revenge. Follow these complex and endearing characters to small-town Mississippi where they journey through crime, conviction and consequence in this tragic comedy of sisterly survival.
