Six Rotary International Clubs of Mesa have joined forces for the 6th annual Rotary Night. Get ready for an evening of live Broadway entertainment, great food and a silent auction with a variety of great items - all in support of the many great community projects Rotary International helps sustain every year. This year, six clubs will take part in the annual fundraising event: Mesa Rotary, Mesa Baseline Rotary, Mesa West Rotary, Mesa Sunrise Rotary, Mesa Boeing Rotary and Mesa East Rotary. The evening will begin with a silent auction of donations from local businesses. Last year, over 120 auction items were donated from over 50 businesses in the East Valley. Past auction items have included trips, balloon rides, tickets for live entertainment, legal services, autographed sports memorabilia, golf equipment and that is just to name a few. Monies raised will benefit the local community with scholarships and projects like the Dictionary Project which benefited over 1,100 3rd graders in the Mesa Public School District; Junior Achievement, Salvation Army, Save the Family; International Literacy and Entrepreneurial projects along with the Hearing Aid Project in Guaymas, Mexico. Following the silent auction, guests are invited to enjoy a buffet style dinner and a live performance of the hit country/western musical The Honky Tonk Angels.
