Add Review/CommentThe Main Gallery will showcase the art of customized cars by a unique collection of lowrider artists. From the art of pin striping, muraling, and car customizing, the culture that came from the streets is now being featured in art galleries and museums around the world. The 'Low and Slow' exhibition in the Main Gallery at MCA will include Estevan Oriol's lowriding lifestyle photography, a 1979 Monte Carlo with a one of a kind flake paint job fully customized by Mister Cartoon, and car part 'canvases' interpreted by top artists. Participants include lowrider artists: Mister Cartoon, Efrain 'Bugs' Gonzales, O.G. Abel, Danny D and Mike Pickel as well as contemporary artists Sandow Birk, Vincent Valdez, Ben Beshaw, and MAC. The artists' car part 'canvases' are for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Free Arts of Arizona.
