Act Two Productions presents Driving Miss Daizy...Crazy! Magnolia Taylor is a feisty, eccentric Southern matriarch who insists on being called 'Miss Daizy' and continually refers to her next-door neighbor Willie as her 'chauffeur, Hoke.' While that obsession is a bit unsettling to both Willie and Miss Daizy's contemptuous niece, Lurlene, it's not nearly as unnerving as her other fixation. Miss Daizy is so enamored with the famous singers on her radio that she claims they actually visit her in her parlor. Furthermore, she believes that she's going to New York City to join them for big show at Radio City Music Hall. Lurlene and Willie, however, believe it's a delusion fueled by the moonshine Miss Daizy repeatedly puts in her tea. As such, they try to convince her that she'd be better off at Shady Pines Retirement Village. Of course, Miss Daizy will have none of that! And so the battle of wits and wills is on! While Lurlene and Willie scheme to get her to Shady Pines, Miss Daizy summons her 'friends' Sammy Davis, Jr., Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Barbra Streisand, Patsy Cline, Louie Armstrong, and Dolly Parton for support. Is Miss Daizy really headed for a rockin' time in the Big Apple? Or is she headed for a rockin' chair at Shady Pines? In the end, it all comes down to one question: Just how crazy is Miss Daizy?
