In collaboration with the AZ State Library, Archives and Public Records, the Deer Valley Rock Art Center is proud to host Roni Capin Rivera-Ashford, the 2007 Southwest Book of the Year Children's Pick and this year's ONEBOOKAZ winner for her book: Hip, Hip, Hooray, It's Monsoon Day! A story of how many people anticipate and celebrate the coming of the monsoon season, which largely defines North America's spectacular Sonoran Desert. As the story unfolds, Aaron and his family introduce us to cultural traditions and meteorological wonders, and to the animals and plants of this region. All ages are welcome.
