Bus Tour to Desert Botanical Garden and Chihuly: The Nature of Glass

Join Musuem members and friends of West Valley Art Museum as they board a tour bus for the Desert Botanical Garden which is hosting the outdoor exhibit, Chihuly: The Nature of Glass. View Dale Chihuly's glass art installation entirely within a desert garden environment for the first time. The Garden is located in the buttes of Papago Park in Phoenix and has more than 50,000 plants on display along five themed trails. Enjoy the plants and the glass art in the morning's natural light. Admission is included for the magic and wonder of the Marshall Butterfly Pavilion. Watch several species of butterflies up close and personal as they sip nectar, perch in the sun, and occasionally land on visitors for photo opportunities. Also currently on exhibit is Illustrating Nature: The Tradition Continues with a focus on the history, techniques and processes related to botanical illustrations.
