Closing the season in the summer of 2010 is the most asked for show in Phoenix Theatre's recent history, Always...Patsy Cline, based on the true story of the legendary country singer's friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger. Having first heard Cline on the Arthur Godfrey Show in 1957, Seger became an immediate and avid fan of Cline's, hounding radio stations to play her songs. After a chance meeting, the two women became life-long friends, sharing mutual respect through letters and occasional telephone calls. Always...Patsy Cline is told through Louise's eyes. Patrons are sure to leave the theatre humming as the musical includes many of Cline's greatest hits including 'Anytime,' 'Walkin After Midnight,' 'She's Got You,' 'Sweet Dreams' and 'Crazy.' The show is directed by Michael Barnard.
