Review/Comment
His legacy still shapes American music more than fifty years after his death. Spend an evening with one of the masters of American roots music in the biographical musical that the New York Times called 'Great fun... absolutely delightful.' Songs like 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' and 'Hey, Good Looking' combine with Williams' life story to create an engaging reflection of fame, artistry, and the power of great music.

I went to this play on Sunday night Hank Williams was my idol when I was a teenager and sitting in the balcony was just like I was at his concert. I loved every minute of it as I felt happy and sad just watching every move. The music was terrific and I felt like I should stand up and yell and clap until he came back out again. He will never die in the hearts of us staunch fans. Thank you Arizona Theatre Company. This was my first time there and was really impressed on the theater. Keep up the good work. Collapse

We saw this performance last night and it was another great theatre experience by Arizona Theatre Company. Every aspect was coordinated into a production comparable to or better than anything on Broadway or any major theatre city. The singing alone was worth the ticket but we got fine acting thrown in as well. Collapse

From the balcony of the Herberger theather I felt like I had a seat at one of his concerts. Emotions up, down, happy, and sad were felt during the show. The actors made you feel like you had stepped back in time. Durning some of the songs I just wanted to stand up and cheer. The sets were right on target. When I left, I felt I would have the songs in my head for days. You feel as if you really watched his life go by. To say the actors were right on target could be a perfect reiew. I plan to go back and see it agian. The audience went wild at the end with praise for all. Good job Arizona Theatre Company, this is a real hit in my book. Collapse
