The Four Seasons Orchestra will be performing rare and beautiful music by Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary women composers. Many of these women were famous during their lifetime, such as Fancesca Caccini, Elizabeth-Claude Jacquet de La Guerre (pictured), Queen Anne Boleyn, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel and Clara Schumann. We will also present works by Henriette de Beaumesnil, Maria Antonia Walpurgis, Marianne von Martinez, and living composer Gweneth Walker. In all, this performance will cover 450 years of women composers. We will be featuring sopranos Eileen Mager and Nonie Bernard and bassoon soloist John Friedeman. This concert will be conducted by Carolyn Waters Broe. Admission Notes: $7.50 admission for people who are dressed in period costumes ( 16th - 19th centuries).
