Join us in a celebration of the world we live in, while learning about and experiencing the cultures of Phoenix’s ten Sister Cities in Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico and Taiwan. During the day on Saturday, you will enjoy music and dance performances on the World Stage, international arts and crafts, and educational exhibits. Kids will enjoy a variety of fun, hands-on activities including all sorts of coloring and arts and crafts projects like making Chinese lanterns, origami and Italian masks, plus get their hands dirty in a simulated archeological dig or roping a steer. Plus the Phoenix Family Museum and Arizona Science Center will be on hand with lots of fun activities. We’ll also have a variety of ethnic foods you can taste and an international beer garden with beers like Tiger, Singha, Sapporo, Kronenbourg, Guinness Stout, Czechvar, Macau, Moretti Birra and Unibroue Maudite… just a few of the unique beers found in Phoenix’s sister cities around the world. Friday and Saturday night the beer garden will be hopping with great local entertainment and a high energy ethnic sampler – Second Shift, Cold Shot and the Hurricane Horns, Christopher Lukert Band, Incendio, Blue Plate Special and Mango Mango. Phoenix Sister City WorldFEST, it’s a taste of the world, in your own back yard… Helpful Information: Guests can get a chance to win a trip for two on Singapore Airlines with 3 nights in Singapore and two nights in Taipei. Just buy a WorldFEST commemorative button from any Phoenix Sister City volunteer at the event or before.
