Please join Pueblo Grande Museum for our annual Kids Day! Children can participate in a number of fun and educational hands-on arts and crafts activities that celebrate the Native American culture and the desert environment. Participate in tours of the museum and ancient ruins, Native American entertainment, atlatl (spear) and boomerang throwing, and try the Frybread! We will also have an area where children can see birds of prey and reptiles up close and learn about them in their natural environment. As a special feature this year, Pueblo Grande Museum has a new changing exhibit featuring aerial photographs of archaeological sites. With funding from the Arizona Humanities council, children will meet the artist, Adriel Heisey, and see the actual ultra light plane he uses to take the aerial photographs up close!
