Music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz; Richard Leigh directs and Lauren Margison choreographs. The 1970s brought the Bible to musical theatre with shows like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar. One of the most popular of these shows is Godspell, a family musical based on the last seven days of Jesus' life according to the Gospel of St. Matthew. With simple, yet movingly beautiful music, this show is carried by the energy and excitement of the ensemble cast. Appropriate for all ages.
