There is a reason Theater Works considers this the Best Season Yet with Blockbuster hits and World Premiers; The season starts up with a hoop and a holler with Rodger and Hammerstein's Oklahoma featuring a star studded cast and Director/Choreographer, Sally Jo Bannow;whose versatility shows in her resume awards and nominations for director, choreography, acting and singing are just the foundation of her works. Directing Theater Works production of Oklahoma gives her an opportunity to show her innovative and creative expertise in all areas. The result being a stellar performance that brings to life the heart of the show.
Set in the early part of the 20th century when Oklahoma was still uncharted territory, sparking rivalry between farmers and cowboys but that is just the beginning. Love is in the air and the rivalry heats up as John Haubner (Curly) tries to win the hard to get heart of Tess Pekrul (Laurey). The road to true love isn't smooth, and with these two holding the reins, we are in for a delightfully bumpy ride. Oklahoma is filled with musical joy with score such as "Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin'" and of course the title song Oklahoma. Theater Works has once again shown that classical theater is still a timeless masterpiece and Oklahoma has set the tune for the Best Season Yet.-

I went to the show on Saturday, Sept. 13 not a big fan of the show, but left with myself and my companion raving about the show! The performers were top-notch and such amazing voices and chemistry with the leads! The standing ovation said it all! This is community theater??? Wow! Keep up the good work! Collapse
