This season is not over until the nation's largest flamenco company once again rattles the floorboards of the Chandler Center for the Arts. Calo Flamenco: Ballet de Martín Gaxiola returns with the world premiere of its full-length, dance and musical spectacular, 'Levanto.' This latest work of critically-acclaimed dancer/choreographer Martín Gaxiola and recording artist Chris Burton Jácome, promises to elevate the 'duende' or 'spirit' within us all. Voted 'Best of Phoenix' by the Arizona Republic, this ensemble of over 20 dancers and musicians will arouse the passion of the human heart in a brilliant display of live music and dance that only flamenco can deliver.

    I saw their performance that the West Valley Arts Council had last Fall and it was fantastic. This is an incredibly talented group of dancers, musicians and singers. I can't wait to see what they come... Expand

    i discovered this performer and his troupe, a little over a year ago. ever since, i have been a fan :) i am actually flying in to catch the second show on saturday nite, from san francisco. totally... Expand
