A retrospective of work by the celebrated sculptor Allan Houser, Chiricahua Apache. The Heard was one of the first Arizona institutions to collect Houser's work starting in the1950's. Through photographs and historical notes, the exhibit documents the museum's relationship with the artist during his 60-year career. Also featuring works from private collections and the Allan Houser Archive in Santa Fe, NM, the exhibit will encompass paintings and his masterful wood, stone and bronze sculptures. Curated by Tricia Loscher.
