The success of John Mayer's third studio album, the platinum-certified Continuum, has prompted the announcement of a full summer tour, which will make stops at arenas and amphitheatres throughout the US. Over the course of his career, John Mayer, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter, has sold more than nine million albums and his albums Room For Squares, Heavier Things, and Continuum have each earned Grammy Awards for John, bringing his career Grammy total to five. Try!, his live recording with the John Mayer Trio, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album. Ben Folds will open the show.
