Join Scottsdale Desert Stages Actor's Café for a heartwarming dose of Southern comfort! When the ladies of Chinquapin, Louisiana gather at Truvy's Beauty Salon, hair isn't the only thing that gets teased, fixed and arranged. Lives are changed; secrets are revealed and--underneath all the gossip--a strong bond of caring and love is formed that sees six colorful Southern women through love and loss. This performance takes place at the Scottsdale Desert Stages Actor's Café located within the Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre.

    I love the whole cast they did great. The whole show is placed in a beauty salon with a all woman cast. Shari Watts made everyone cry at the finale. Even her husband. Great show and cast.

    I will be honest...I know a lot of the cast in this show and have acted with about half of them. Because this creates a bias, I usually would not write a review, but I truely feel as if this show is... Expand

    I will be honest...I know a lot of the cast in this show and have acted with about half of them. Because this creates a bias, I usually would not write a review, but I truely feel as if this show is deserving of it. The talent here is immense and truely shines through. As these women pour out their hearts, be prepared to laugh with them and cry with them. This is honestly one of the best productions I have seen in a few years, and something for both Desert Stages and the Valley theatre scene to be proud of. Go see this show...you won't regret it.     Desert Stages is really proving to be the place to go for great theatre. I saw the last show Suds which was really great and fun and just saw steel magnolias. My daughter took me and we both enjoyed it so much. My only issue is that I didnt bring any tissue to wipe away the many tears I shed in this heartfelt show. If you want to see a great piece of theatre and a cast of good actors..see this show! Collapse
