In November 2006, students from Gilbert High School, in Gilbert, Ariz., attended a workshop by artists Xiaoping Luo and Junya Shao who teach traditional Chinese methods of making ceremonial hand-built teapots with textures that emulate nature. On display are twenty of the student teapots and one from each of the artists, together with student comments about their experiences in the artist-in-residency workshop. The project was funded by the Arizona Commission on the Arts and private donors.
