    Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience as the Royal Carl Rosa Opera presents the outrageous operetta, The Mikado. Founded in 1869, The Royal Carl Rosa Opera is Britain's oldest opera company and is best known for its productions of Gilbert & Sullivan's light-hearted, lyrical operettas. This new production of The Mikado is a historic re-creation of the original production of 1885 and features the elaborately colorful costumes and settings from Mike Leigh's Academy Award-winning film, Topsy-Turvy. With delightfully infectious music and wonderful comic characters, the hilarious fantasy world of Nanki-Poo, Ko-Ko and the magnificent Japanese court of Titipu come to life.
