Breaking Legs
June 5-June 15, 2008
The worlds of the Mafia and the theatre clash hilariously when a professorial playwright seeks funding for his new play from the family of a former student. The 'family' turn out to be minor Mafia godfathers who are willing to underwrite the play provided they never have to read it. The fact that the lusty, unwed daughter of the house falls in love with the playwright only furthers his involvement with the Mob. In this madcap situation, murder and menace are served up with plenty of pasta and laughter. Please note: This play contains adult themes and is not recommended for children.

This was the first production of Cabaret I've ever seen and it more than exceeded my expectations. I have seen quite a few shows directed by the talented Phillip Fazio, but this one really took the cake. Encompassing the charisma, depth and passion of both Sally Bowles and the Emcee, Fazio showcases a brilliant version of this broadway classic. I could go on and on but you should buy tickets and see this for yourself! Collapse

I've never seen Cabaret before (theatre or movie), so this was an eye-opening experience and "wilkommen" to the story/themes. The MC was absolutely phenomenal - I was blown away by his performance. No sour note whatsoever, captivating and intense. Rest of cast was stellar with music to match. A great theatre experience I'm glad I had. Collapse
