The Theater Works production of Peter Pan is **NOT AT ALL** the Broadway version made famous by Mary Martin, as described. It is an ALL NEW, modernized and relevant adaptation by writer/director Jim Gradillas embellished with current music and satirical comedy for all ages.

I went to the show on Saturday, Sept. 13 not a big fan of the show, but left with myself and my companion raving about the show! The performers were top-notch and such amazing voices and chemistry with the leads! The standing ovation said it all! This is community theater??? Wow! Keep up the good work! Collapse

This production was so bad it was embarrassing to watch! The acting was horrible, and the director had the actors moving around so much on the tiny set, it made my head spin! Costumes were deplorable (men in Tuxedos at this party and women in day dresses?) And the set looked like a Goodwill store! Theater Works has got to do better if they are going to charge $20 a seat! Took the wife to Peoria Center for the Arts to see "The Perfect Party". Experience was mixed. The play itself was great. The actors seemed confident and had great chemistry. What troubled me was the venue. Getting into the show was pricey, drinks were pricey, and parking was terrible. With such challenging parking one would have thought the theater must have been sold out. It wasn't! As a matter of fact the theater was nearly empty. Such a shame! This show deserves better. Although I enjoyed this performance overall, the orchestra was so bad I thought I was listening to a high school musical. The actors did their very best trying to deal with it, but some of the less professional actors really struggled. However, the direction was very creative and stage pictures were wonderful. Stand out performances by Rob and George. If you have not seen this interesting and chilling piece of modern 'Americana' you really must. This might not be the most polished production, but it certainly makes you come face to face with the twisted interpretation of the American dream. Collapse

The Theater Works Theater has produced a wonderful and charming production filled with charm and great fun. The audience was deifinetly enjoying the magic that was brought to life on the stage by the talented actors. This is the most beloved and charming production I have seen in years, and I know that every family out there will adore its Grand Performances. Collapse

In Theater Works 'Bridge to Terabithia', a friendship unlocks a magical world. Finding the Friend ship adventuring, the audience seems snoozing with their brains tumbling behind in the story. The friendship is magical, but a little too worthless to keep a live audience awake and enjoying a Live Production. Collapse

This was my first time to see a show at Peoria and I was sad to see so few people in the audience. BUT, this is a good show, with sparks of brilliance. Wonderful set design and costumes and some excellent performances; and some not so good. The script is very wordy and at times some of the actors struggled with the lines. Still all in all a nice afternoon of theater. Collapse

Marjorie was FABULOUS and so totally convincing as a character it blew me away. I REALLY felt like I was INTRUDING (before the Bad Guy comes) and I liked that reality. Actually a LOT of times I felt I was intruding, not just the beginning, but you WANT to WATCH. Like peeking through a hole and "not getting involved" kind of watching. None of it seems stiff, rehearsed to death, etc., it looks absolutely spontaneous and DANGEROUS!I LOVED THE SCENE with the Liquor applied to the wasp-sting. I guess because I was sitting RIGHT THERE and it was SO REAL, Patti was excellent as well, and I liked their interactions. I saw two ladies crying after the show, it also makes me wonder what a real assault-victim thinks SEEING this - I wonder if they feel vindicated, cheated, angry all over again - it is just fascinating. I really did have to calm down afterwards. So I HOPE a lot of people come and see this, the Black Box is PERFECT for this show! Collapse
