Art With a Cause is presented by Tempe Historical Museum at the Tempe City Hall Art Gallery. Artists often support cultural and political causes. Exhibited are many posters from the Royal Chicano Air Force that announced dances, strikes, boycotts, and traditional ceremonies in support of Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers. This exhibit also presents the saga of Cesar Chavez in Arizona: from his protest fast in 1972 to his honorary degree from ASU in 1992. Also featured are samples from contemporary, local Hispanic printmakers.
