Cinco De Moio is a Latin Jazz group made up of some of the premier players in the Phoenix area. The music ranges from Cuban: Danzon, and Cha Cha to Brazilian Samba's and Bossa Novas. Dom Moio started the group in 2004 and the first gig was May 4, so the name was born and it stuck. Dom is on drums and percussion joined by Joe Garcia on Congas and percussion, Joe is probably the busiest percussionist in town due to his versatility and incredible stage presence. Jerry Donato plays Tenor Sax, Soprano Sax, Flute, and Piccolo. Mike King on bass. Brother Bill Moio on guitar and also composes for the group. And our Pianist is from Greece, Ioannis Goudelis, and plays piano and accordion, and has written original compositions for the group as well.
