'We have no troubles here! Here life is beautiful,' boasts the Emcee of the deliciously tawdry Kit Kat Klub in pre-war Berlin. Follow the affair between the nightclub's former star attraction and an American writer as love and humanity are tested by the marching forces of the Third Reich. Inspiring a widely acclaimed movie version starring Liza Minnelli, this decadent Kander and Ebb smash-hit musical features some of their most memorable numbers such as 'Willkommen', 'The Money Song' and 'Two Ladies'.

I thought that the show, was very well put together, the love story between Mendel, and the crazy woman with the wig, was great! Both actors delivered great performances, as well as did a great job directing the production. The young boy did a fantastic job. brought me to tears. Marvan, delivered a very passionate performance. The role of wizar was forgettable, but the actor had a wonderful voice. Highlights in the show were, "Four Jews in a Room Bitching","Breaking Down", and "I Never Wanted to Love You". Collapse

I've seen at least 8 ABT productions and this one is at the top of my list! The lead's were of course good, but the supporting cast can make or break the performance, and this one made it great! Marian has a remarkable voice, the mayor's wife and "ladies" gave me some belly laughs, the choreography was very entertaining, the quarter had powerful voices that took me to a different era and the children brought sparkles to my eyes. The set designs great and set changes were seamless- couldn't believe it was intermission already! The costume changes, of which there were a lot, were sugary sweet and the ladies were audacious! Loved the energy on stage! What a great way to drift away to a simpler era. Some of the cast members even come out to greet you. I watched several guest children in awe! It's a great place to have some family fun and enjoy real " NY Broadway" entertainment! Collapse

First time at ABT. Five children I took were very disappointed. Children need more visual stimulation; staging and scenery was perhaps the most ineffective I have ever seen - There really was none. Five yellow arrows on the curtain really get boring when this is the ONLY scenery used throughout the entire play. More "portable" props (like rainbow) needed, e.g., Emerald City, tornado, etc. Wicked witch, tinman, Dorothy casting was good. Others were mediocre. Many little ones loved being called munchkins (many times). Mine did not. We all loved the red shoes and Dorothy's closing "Over the Rainbow." Collapse

I am not really sure what the last two people (Jason) are talking about, they must have auditioned for one of the parts and did not get it. We went to see the children's performance of The Wizard of Oz (This is how we found out about ABT,GREAT children's show)! We were so amazed with the venue we decided to bring our family to see "The Music Man". I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselfs, the food was excellent, the costumes were amazing, the actors were AWSOME and the show was foot stomping, hand claping fun. We will go back to see other shows that ABT has to offer for sure. Collapse

Ok so I saw this production of the Music Man,not one of my favorite shows, but I had some high expectations. The venue is very nice....HOWEVER...does anyone at ABT have any idea of what makes up a good show. The set was OK it looked like they pulled a bunch of stuff from storage and put some new paint on it. The costumes appeared to be from a few different shows and were rather obnoxious. The casting was DREADFUL!!! The two leads were ok but the supporting cast and ensemble had no business on stage. It was like watching a very bad High School production. For the prices these people charge I am very upset. Collapse

I saw this show and it was worse than any community theatre production i have ever seen. There were people onstage who could not act their way out of a paper bag. I do not know who is in charge of this theatre but they need to re-think how they go about business. I had seen their production of Fiddler and it too was AWFUL. Hopefully they look at this site to see what their patrons have to say. I will not be spending my money with them again. Collapse

I saw this show with my nephew and let me say it is a PERFECT scaled-down version of the story that has touched our hearts for almost 70 years!! The actors were wonderful and totally committed to their characters - I had seen them all in MUSIC MAN the week before and they were PERFECTLY cast! For 5$, you can't beat this for summer entertainment! The above review is completely off-base - I saw that production of WIZARD OF OZ that she refers to, and as someone with a Masters in Musical Theatre, I would say it was fair at best. Collapse

The Wizard of Oz is a fun show and a very fun show to do, because in 1999 I protrayed the role of 'Dorothy' in the show. Anyway, Arizona Broadway Theater has decided to make a Children's Theater! That sounds fun, but the play was horrible! Since I am a full-scale critic, I got to see the show today. The costumes were fantastic and the singing was phenomenal, but the casting, set and crew were not good at all! I was excited at first to go see this show, but then I was very dissapointed. 'Oz' surely didn't get me to the Wizard. Collapse
