If you are looking for an exceptional performance and exceptional price, I encourage you to see one of the last performances of Park Your Car in the Harvard Yard. I don't know why there are so many seats available for this exceptionally fine play. Do your self a favor and Park your car in the Peoria Performing Arts Center this week. Collapse

Although I enjoyed this performance overall, the orchestra was so bad I thought I was listening to a high school musical. The actors did their very best trying to deal with it, but some of the less professional actors really struggled. However, the direction was very creative and stage pictures were wonderful. Stand out performances by Rob and George. If you have not seen this interesting and chilling piece of modern 'Americana' you really must. This might not be the most polished production, but it certainly makes you come face to face with the twisted interpretation of the American dream. Collapse

The Theater Works Theater has produced a wonderful and charming production filled with charm and great fun. The audience was deifinetly enjoying the magic that was brought to life on the stage by the talented actors. This is the most beloved and charming production I have seen in years, and I know that every family out there will adore its Grand Performances. Collapse

In Theater Works 'Bridge to Terabithia', a friendship unlocks a magical world. Finding the Friend ship adventuring, the audience seems snoozing with their brains tumbling behind in the story. The friendship is magical, but a little too worthless to keep a live audience awake and enjoying a Live Production. Collapse

This was my first time to see a show at Peoria and I was sad to see so few people in the audience. BUT, this is a good show, with sparks of brilliance. Wonderful set design and costumes and some excellent performances; and some not so good. The script is very wordy and at times some of the actors struggled with the lines. Still all in all a nice afternoon of theater. Collapse

Marjorie was FABULOUS and so totally convincing as a character it blew me away. I REALLY felt like I was INTRUDING (before the Bad Guy comes) and I liked that reality. Actually a LOT of times I felt I was intruding, not just the beginning, but you WANT to WATCH. Like peeking through a hole and "not getting involved" kind of watching. None of it seems stiff, rehearsed to death, etc., it looks absolutely spontaneous and DANGEROUS!I LOVED THE SCENE with the Liquor applied to the wasp-sting. I guess because I was sitting RIGHT THERE and it was SO REAL, Patti was excellent as well, and I liked their interactions. I saw two ladies crying after the show, it also makes me wonder what a real assault-victim thinks SEEING this - I wonder if they feel vindicated, cheated, angry all over again - it is just fascinating. I really did have to calm down afterwards. So I HOPE a lot of people come and see this, the Black Box is PERFECT for this show! Collapse

I had always heard of this show but had never seen it so I'm glad I got the opportunity. I have never been to such an intense, rivoting, amazing, and highly disturbing play before. I want to say I loved it, but I don't quite know what words to say because I'm used to saying I loved a show when it's a heart-warming or upbeat kind of show. This one, well, all I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed it because it was an amazing production with outstanding performances. I had to close my eyes a few times during that opening scene - I couldn't take it. But when the show was over, I was surprised to see it was almost 10:30. I was never bored, that's for sure. Collapse

The heart of this 1982 drama is the male lead. He makes the rapist into an experienced lawyer. While the female lead is honest, most of her performance comes across as pathetic; the heroic element is lost in this production. Filled with more crying than fear she conspires with her roommates, well played, yet with little direction to do much but change spots on stage, into taking the law into their own hands. Even though the script hits at Marjorie's consuming rage this actress plays victim more than vengeance. The casting of Cambanes & Bragg helps move the Law & Order rerun. They bring the women to life, but in the end, rather than having three women, prepresenting three different feminist points of view (logic, anger, fear) we end up rehashing preposterous myths that women invite attacks. The three actresses try to supply believable people to replace Mr. Mastrosimone's thin characters, yet they fail due to poor direction. Collapse
