The Phoenix Zoo

Visit the beautiful Phoenix Zoo, home to over 1,200 animals. Centrally located in the Phoenix metro area, the Phoenix Zoo offers an exciting array of animal exhibits, unique special events, educational programs and outdoor recreational activities for people of all ages. The spectacular surroundings make it an ideal setting for professional meetings, memorable dinner/receptions, weddings and more. The Phoenix Zoo is open everyday, rain or shine, except December 25. Come to Phoenix Zoo where there's something for everyone.

Hours:
The Phoenix Zoo is open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm. (and 8:00am to 4:00pm during the ZooLights season). Please call for summer hours (June-August).

Features: Many animals, stroller and wheelchair friendly, natural settings for animals, cafe's, concession stands, food pavilion, birthday party packages, zoo store, animal factory where you can stuff your own animal, educational postings, information brochures, leapin' lagoon where you can cool off from the hot summer sun, stroller rental, and different types of memberships available.

Admission Notes: Memberships available. Parking is free.

    My 8-yr old daughter & her friend enjoyed every aspect of Starry Safari. We intended to be there for a couple of hours and stayed until closing. We watched the male zebra being fed & heard a talk... Expand

    My 8-yr old daughter & her friend enjoyed every aspect of Starry Safari. We intended to be there for a couple of hours and stayed until closing. We watched the male zebra being fed & heard a talk about his species, including the 2 new baby zebras. As an adult, I even enjoyed a go at hula-hooping! We closed with the girls learning about creatures who live in the water & they were thrilled to make a collage coral reef. Plenty to do -- plenty to slide & splash about -- and the real bonus -- not overly crowded!! Collapse
