AZDance Group

AZDance Group, directed by Kenda Newbury, is a professional contemporary ballet, jazz and modern dance company.

AZDance Group has four divisions: Professional dancers, Junior/Trainee Company, Children's Company and Movement E-Motion, a dance program for individuals with disability. Movement E-Motion is made possible through a grant from the Molly Lawson Foundation and the Arizona Community Foundation.

The mission of the AZDance Group is to service the community by creating and producing professional dance performances of the highest quality, to nurture its artists and audiences and to contribute to the arts education of that community. Christian principals are put into practice, building healthy minds, bodies and spirits through productions, choreography, programs and classes.

    The concert was a breathtaking mix of trained ballet technique with the capabilities of abandonment & freedom that modern dancers have & the strength & energy of powerful jazz dancers.No two pieces were alike which made for a wondrous evening of delightful, thoughtful & exciting choreographic works.Featured in this concert was AZDance, Rebakah Shoaf/UofA's Dance Depart.& AZDance’s successful program, “Movement E-Motion”,(for individuals with different ability).Donna Kublin, President of ACNV said: "The AZDance Group Christmas Concert was a delight to the senses.It was beautiful to see the fabulous dancers,choreography,& a joy to listen to the music.The performances made me laugh&cry,& feel exhilarated at the same time.The experience stayed with me for days;the magic moments forever Collapse
