    Theatrikos Theatre Company

In May of 1972, a group of Flagstaff citizens met in the basement of the Weatherford Hotel to form a non-profit community theatre committed to producing high quality productions using the diverse talents from the Flagstaff Community.

Over thirty years later this dynamic theatre group has grown to a progressive theatre company that presents five Main stage productions to over 7,000 theatre patrons a year. They also occasionally offer acting, movement, scene painting, lighting design, stage, and voice and audition classes throughout the year.

After roaming homeless for sixteen years, Theatrikos finally found a permanent home. Originally named The Flagstaff Playhouse, in 2002 the building was renamed in honor of one of the founders and longest company member to the Doris Harper-White Community Playhouse. The building, erected in 1923, was originally the Elks Lodge and later became the Flagstaff Library. The hall is now known as an intimate black box theatre. The performance space seats 99 individuals. Theatrikos patrons are never more than five rows away from the stage area.
