Darknight Productions

Darknight Productions has been created with the intent to provide a variety of quality theater experiences in multiple venues during the work week when most theaters are dark. This provides audiences an opportunity for entertainment throughout the week in venues throughout the Valley and gives actors an opportunity to perform during the week. Their marketing efforts are focused toward private party and club entertainment, however they occasionally do public performances.

    Ken & Brenda were absolutely superb. I was totally blown away not only by their operatic voices, but also by their wonderful harmony abilities. Their 90 minute presentation was filled with delightful songs that we were all familiar with invoking cheers from the entire audience.     In my 20+ years in Phoenix this was the worst theater evening of my life. A lame story, great music(since they used the music of the icons of Broadway), lyrics written by someone with no talent, and a cast of little talent(with the exception of J Smith). The professional dinner theater venue should be ashamed to let this production use their space. I'm all for local support of theater but, please don't waste your $ on this. You will be sorry.     I saw this show in Carefree on a cleverly improvised stage setting. The material was charming. Songs were popular show tunes with lyrics rewritten to correspond to the lovingly optimistic "can't we all just get along" theme. The four actor/singers clearly enjoyed themselves and put their all into the performance. There were some wonderfully executed vocals. The costuming made me want to go shopping for evening gowns and high heels, for my husband. Collapse

    I should have trusted my gut and stayed away from this show. It wasn't funny, it wasn't entertaining, and it definitely wasn't worth the money I spent.     There is a new show in town and it is PURE ENTERTAINMENT! The musical production, "Three Divas & a Darryl", is clever, quick and full of fun. The story line (yes, there really is one!) is endearing, the lyrics are whitty and the actors have 'nailed' their parts. The cast is a winning team that has truly hit a home run. This ORIGINAL play, written, produced and directed by Diedre Kaye with lyrics from Alexx Stuart, is the freshest theatrical performance to come to our area in many years. It is worth the drive to the Arizona Broadway Theatre to see it...and it just might come back to Carefree in late Feb. DO NOT MISS THIS DYNAMIC SHOW! Thank you Diedre and Alexx (Darknight Productions) for the years of effort that went into this exciting comedy. You enrich our lives with local theatre and we love you for it. Collapse
