    Arizona Capital Museum

Dedicated as our territorial capitol in 1901, the copper-domed building witnessed many landmarks in Arizona history including the writing of the Arizona State Constitution in 1910 and statehood in 1912. The historic Capitol, now the Arizona Capitol Museum, continues to watch our state's political story unfold with its central position between the governor's office and the state legislature. It remains the primary symbol of democracy in Arizona.

The Museum provides tours, exhibits, education programs, outreach programs for adults and children and an opportunity to support the museum by shopping in the museum store. Museum admission and services are free.

Exhibits currently at the Capitol Museum are USS Arizona and USS Arizona Silver Service, Condors, Jaguars and Bears, Oh My!, Bill becomes a Law (interactive), Capitol History, Campaign for Statehood, 1910 Constitutional Convention, Water versus Rattlesnake, Flying Colors (Flag Exhibit).

Outreach programs currently available for your group or classroom reflect museum exhibits, Arizona history and state standards: History of the Arizona Capitol, Arizona Women's Hall of Fame, 1910 Constitutional Convention, Primary vs. Secondary Sources of Information and more.

What can I say, as simple and uncomplicated to view and understand. An excellent representation of the State Symbol, and the fact that caters the blind, is magnificent
