My friends and I went to Charles' last show here in the valley (to a packed house in Gilbert) and it was hilarious. He has a wonderful way of simultaneously celebrating and lovingly poking fun at our lives growing up in the 50s and 60s. You will have many a "what were we thinking!" moment as you watch his slideshow which is chock full of cheesy fashion, horrific interior design and the kitcschiest of tourist attractions across the USA. Nostalgic real life slices of everyday life in those eras, there is a LOT you'll recognize from your own childhood, believe me. Charles gathered the best of literally thousands of slides he's collected from that era, family snapshots taken by our parents and grandparents a few generations ago. His running commentary alone is worth the price of admission, you have got to meet this guy! A rare chance to see him in Phoenix and step back in time to see what our Valley of the Sun used to be like. You're sure to leave with a smile on your face. Collapse

My sisters and I took our mother for a (very)belated Mother's Day present last weekend. We have seen all of the LNC shows, including the Christmas one, and have found this one to be no less enjoyable than the rest. Be prepared to hear about baptizing aliens and the rest of God's creatures! The Newlywed game was a blast. The only criticism I have is not of the show itself but of the theater's lack of preparedness. The lobby is barren, no real snack bar and no wine. I hope this is temporary! Collapse
